EXPERIENCE:

 

Anaspec, Inc., Fremont, CA, a biotechnology manufacturing division of Kaneka Chemical.  (2011 to present).  Environmental Health and Safety Officer.  Develop and oversee all environmental and safety related policies and activities. Perform EHS and Chemical Hygiene training for all employees.  Liaison with regulatory officials. Manage hazardous and medical waste transportation and disposal contracts. Perform EHS inspections and incident investigations. Perform internal audits and host external audits.  Plan and execute Industrial Hygiene investigations and ergonomic assessments.  Work with facilities management to investigate and correct mechanical systems deficiencies.

 

Souza Construction, Visalia, CA.  (2008 to 2010).  Estimator/Project Manager.  Bid and managed various construction projects, primarily involving HVAC installations at federal facilities.

Kiewit Pacific Company, Concord, CA. (1998 to 2003).  Safety Manager.  Responsible for training over 1000 craft workers, designing and implementing safety programs, OSHA, FRA and EPA compliance programs, and accident investigation on a statewide fiber optic telecom build out project.

 

Cal Inc., Vacaville, CA.  (1995 to 1998).  HAZWOPER Superintendent/Project Manager. Managed various construction projects, including asbestos and lead abatement and demolition, building renovations, fuel system installation and repair, underground utilities, grading, paving, and levee repair.

 

Westinghouse Hanford Company, Richland, WA (1991 to 1995).  Supervising Geologist in a Hazardous/Radioactive Waste environment– at US Department of Energy Hanford facility.  Performed well and well field design, developed sampling and analysis plans and supervised field staff.
